Mata Lai Liao -  Literally means "police is here". "Police" in this scenario refers to Singapore's traffic/parking enforcement officers. At Kopitiams, when these"police" make their rounds – "Mata lai liao" is a common phrase used as a kind gesture to warn fellow drivers, a shout-out to those who did not display a carpark coupon.
